In search of Ellavation

If they asked me, I could write a book.
About the way you walk, and whisper, and look.

I'm luvin this song by Ella Fitzgerald called "I Could Write A Book" Heard it on Canadian Idol last night... yes the secrets out, I love that show, they put US talents to shame. The theme was the standards genre.... so I've got a lot of jazz to look into :)

On a totally depressing note, my evaluation came in... I have a rank of between good and very good... it sucks arce, because I really didn't get an opportunity to prove myself. Hoping for a fresh start next term. My last 2 days of work will involve zeroxing stuff for the IT guy... this really is a junior job!! never again.

The pressure or lack there of... of work is lifting; but I'm more overwhelmed than ever. I still have a lot of planning from hostels to transportation to $$, still haven't decided whether to leave the tour early and stay in Paris. A good 2 solid days of clicking around will hopefully get me somewhere. I'm still in my prepping stage and already I feel I need more time over there. My gal Nadia is in Vienna after the 20th, it pains me to know I could go visit her but have no time to. Another time perhaps, although it'd be nice to see how she handles European gents... oh riot.

LOL...I also, admittedly, have been watching CI this season :S

I think Casey, who sang that Ella song, is going to be booted tonight though. I really really wish they would get rid of Josh soon - the judges like him, but I think he's creepy.

Who are you wanting to win?

Your eval won't make much difference...it's just a small part of the Lou Package ;) I think employers realize that what's "good" to some people might be "excellent" by other people's standards. At least you didn't get a poor or failed term - then you'll be alright.

Things will come together for Europe, you'll see. While on the tour, don't they take care of where you're staying for you?

*hugs* <3<3<3

yeah... looking into hostels right now... it's coming together!! INSANE!!!! I've got 5 days in London by myself, so I still need to find places, turns out it's pretty easy :)

and I am a big fan of Casey. I think she's a great singer and hope she wins. Last night's show was the best I've seen, cuz that style of music really fits. Josh is ok, really passionate, so I like him too.

thanks jill, hugs back :)

I liked Casey at first, but I don't think her voice is all that great. I would say she was the least passionate last night.

I've been a fan of Aaron since the beginning. And as I watch every week, I'm starting to like Suzi & Melissa more & more. Suzi has a great voice, but I didn't think she was very Canadian Idol style (heh...that rhymes!) b/c she's more rocker-chick. But last night, she had to go out of her comfort zone, and she was AMAZING!

I also like Rex...I liked him more at the beginning, and during auditions, but he's still one of my faves. I'm cheering for those 4 - Aaron, Suzi, Rex & Melissa.

hey anonymous, thanks for checking in. It's a real shame about Dana Reeve, but her spirit and optimism is an inspiration to all.

yah Casey isn't really that passionate... I don't remember Aaron, is he the big guy? Melissa was on fire last night, she has good singing skills. I found myself clapping after every performance, even though I was so alone :'(

Aaron is the big guy. Melissa was in the bottom 3 for a couple weeks, but her last 2 performances have really shown why she's there.

LOL...I was doing that. Actually the best is that I always answer Jeopardy questions out loud when I'm by myself. LMAO

Love ya Lou!
