In the Shwa

It’s the third day of work already. I moved into Oshawa on Monday to a neat house with a couple of women. There’s still no phone line linked to my room yet, or internet. I met a lot of other coop students on the first day and things are looking up. I shouldn’t be too lonely this term once I get a source of communication going. I also volunteered to be the social event organizer of the term. I should have thought about it first, because it’s going to be hard to think of stuff to do in this damn place. Being in the plant is really cool. After working for GM suppliers twice already, it’s neat to see everything come together. In fact, my last job supplies this plant with extruded weather strippings. I saw the very parts I helped initialize being assembled onto the Grand Prix’s now. Ahhh it all makes sense now.

Oshawa is a freakish place. You will not find a Japanese car in the whole town. Tom Petty tomorrow and what will promise to be a great weekend back home :D
