.... in London now
hey, so last night was fun. I got back to my hostel after walking around the city for 10 hrs or so. I had to get ready to go out with a bunch of people right away. I met some great Aussies (Suzy, Charlette and Emmerson), a new zealander Kevin and some fellow Canucks from Calgary (mark), Newfie (adam) and GTAers Melissa, Dave and Eric. We first hit an Irish pub to watch the football match between Ireland and italy. Ireland ended up losing 2-1 I think, but people had a ball drinkin and talking. We left and took a walk down the gay district by a cute little canal. Everything was so lively and happening, with plenty of attractive but unavailiable brits.
We got into a nght club called the Ritz. They were havng a 70's retro night with the love train and the whole bit. we had fun dancing and got back at around 2 or 3 and had toast (the only free food at the hostel) half the group was missing at this point, but we found them at the hostel later... so yeah, that was fun.
I left manchester for london this morning at 10 and met a great Irish gal going to a festival somewhere down south. I really want to check out ireland now, so definately on another trip. She said the crack of the irish (which means their character and way of life) is great. It's also hard to battle a weak Canadian accent with the strongs ones of Aussi's and brits, i'm sounding more and more british by the minute!
London is ok, i haven't had time to see the place yet, but did walk up and down the same street for a while looking for the hostel. things are really quiet here, so I hope to meet some people soon. I'm going to dinner with desert and wine for 5 pounds soon. Gotta go!

I told ya you'd meet people :D Sounds fun so far...you're making me mighty jealous :P Make sure you don't waste your whole vacation in internet cafes ;)
And what weak Canadian accents?? LOL...no accent here! I hear ya though - in Australia, it was weird hearing the strong accents all the time (and they speak super-fast!) But you'll get used to it deary!

YAY POST PICS!!!!
Lou,
Don't spend too much time on the Internet. A few words to report where you are and if everything is OK should be enough. Don't forget what you are in Europe for. Mom
Dude, I wish I could be there! It must be nice meeting random people. I've always wondered what the life of a stranger I just met at an airport is like. Maybe she lives in a small village by the ocean in Ireland.
Take care Lou and keep posting.
