Safely home

back home now... I'm heading over to the loo on Labour day for frosh week. My voice still hasn't recovered, so I think i'll play the nice frosh leader that talks one on one with people then go nuts for the rest of the week!!

I miss Paris already, and the friends i've made... but if I've learned anything outta this trip; it is that great people are everywhere you go, ya just hafta get out there!! Still, I wish the ones I already met would stick around :) I went to the Palace of Versailles which is where Louis XIV lived after he decided the Louvre was too small. My first impression of its states rooms is that it blew Buckingham palace right out of the water. You can't compete with French taste. I spent all day there so the Museums were closed in the city when i got back, I walked around for a while and took photos of historic buildings (like a good tourist should). I had no problems sightseeing by myself in London... but Paris was different, the place was busy, but also romantic, I felt a little lonely wandering the streets. I found my way into the Louvre before sunset... and the funniest thing happened... I ran into Patrick and Phillipe (the German dudes from London) in front of the museum!! Paris is a huge city man... what are the odds? I was really glad to see something familiar again... we tookin a night of culture by first eating at an italian restaurant then going to an Aussi bar... huh...

I'll be sticking around school after frosh stuff to finish the work report/internet. I still don't have a computer yet...bugger! But yeah, @ school for frosh week, if anyone is around by then, please send me an email... hope to catch up with ya ;)

Nice to have you back dudette!! You're right; nice people are everywhere. Actually, I find that people in general are very nice. All we have to do is get over the shyness and start up a conversation.

Take care, bye.

ps: I don't think I can come this weekend to waterloo but I might bike there next weekend :)
