Something to laugh at

thanks mom and dad.

Boy it's been a boring weekend!!!
I did nothing but read, glad Harry Potter is having a better time than I am... even with the dark lord after him.

The flight and tour has been set up, guess I'm actually doing this. I 'm surpised at what I"m capable of at the spur of the moment... it was less then a week ago that this europe idea popped into my head.

I'm broke... or will be after this, my parents will have to cover for my tuition this term. I feel horrible. If my daughter wanted to go off on her own so suddenly, I would have been concerned with her safety and said no by all means. The fact that they even let me go (after a lot of persuasion) meant that they trust me, and want me to experience life. How could I ever thank them? (not with a big tuition bill that's for sure) I'll think of a way someday...starting by never asking them for another b-day or xmas present again.

And give them my complete gratitude and love. Thanks mom & dad, you're the best people I've ever met. I don't say that every day, but it's always been true.

Aww...sucks about the boring weekend :S But only a few more to go (and you're coming to Port Dover for one of them...right?)

My HP6 got delivered on Saturday, but I was here, so I didn't get. Oh well...I'll get it this weekend (likely) However, I've gotta finish my current book first (so maybe I'll read that a helluva lot this week, so I can start HP6 this weekend :P)

Your parents sound awesome! I'm sure my parents would do the same if I needed, but not all parents would. So where are you touring to? Is your itinerary online? <3 Me so jealous :P (even though it was just 7 months ago that I was in Australia...lol)

That looks awesome :) Australia was wonderful...I'll tell you about it (and show you 650 pictures worth!) at some point..LOL. You'll find with Europe though (and I found with Australia) that it doesn't feel nearly long enough :S But the tour will be fun...Contiki looks cool b/c it's only 18-35 year olds, so people our age, and you'll meet some pretty cool people! Can't wait to hear about it when you get back afterwards!

BTW, if you're going to Europe, are you dropping outta frosh week?

So you're in the Loo this weekend? Me too. Dunno what I'm doing yet exactly, but maybe we can get together at some point

Sept 4 is the Sunday before...the actual engineering frosh week starts on the Tuesday, so you should be gold to be there for the events, just not the decorating, etc beforehand :) Which colour are you in again?

Wow man, I just had a look at the website. The trip looks amazing. Go and have as much fun as possible. I was thinking about your dilemma and I think the best way to ruturn the favour to your parents is by having as much fun as possible. And you will have fun just by the virtue of such an amazing trip. So let's get excited baby, wooohooo.

The Eroupe idea is great. Just be smart. Don't fall for guys and don't lend people money!

You'll be fine!

Do we know this Sky person just outta curiosity?

In addition to what Sky said, from what I've heard about some places in Europe, be careful of beggars. My friends were somewhere (forget if it was Italy or Greece) and there were women who would try to get you to hold their baby, and while they did that, their other kids came and stole your money...so watch your stuff!
