Bohemian Justice

Work has taken an unexpected turn... the plant has decided on another one-week shut-down (not enough work to go around); a real downer. I don't know how my fate stands for that week.

The new project turned out to be a lot of waiting around and watching the Looms (massive weaving machines) it’s cool to see how it works though... coloured yarn get pulled from many selves with spools, they're lifted up and down to make a pattern. Hemp goes straight across the pattern and a gigantic reed (which looks like something to groom King Kong with) pushes the whole thing together with a bang... all this happens 115 times a minute... not long before the rhythm synchronizes with your heart beat. I get short of breath from just sitting around. The reed moves back and forth to the beat, hypnotizing. Your mind, once constantly in motion now follows the motion of the loom... nothing else... ... Geeezzz corn hash Bonanza!!! Somebody's been breathing too much hemp dust!

The euro trip is a go. My parents freaked out when I told them I was venturing solo... they talked me out of it those tricky loons!! Guess I'll be going with a tour instead. It would have been fun to see if I could do it alone. I can picture myself lost with a lot of luggage, stricken with panic... but no doubt be getting some of the best highs of my life too. Ah well, some other time.

Also, just heard Queen's putting on a free show at High Park in London this Friday. It's to honour the victims and rescuers. Hope the bastards responsible are watching. A city is shaken but never stirred. No bombs needed to blow this crowd away!

Another shutdown? When? :S That sucks b/c you probably need the money.

A tour may be fun...my roommate's going on a bus tour at the end of the summer: 12 countries in 14 days. Make sure you get on a student tour so you can meet new cool people! :D

I still think backpacking woulda been cool though...oh well, will your parents let you travel with us next summer?

hey, oh yeah, she recommended I do some domestic travelling instead of europe.

Tours right now are f$&#ing expensive!!! It's a lot cheaper to research my ass off and plan my own route...but if I were a mother, I'd freak out at such an idea, wouldn't want to upset the parentals... they already worry too much. I can do it, but what if something wrong happens? I need to think about this but always fighting against time :S What agency is your roommate with, and how much is it costing her? I'm looking for a tour but it's really late to be doing that now. Just email.

btw, I saw your last comment about sitting on the porch, I miss you too gal!! It's friggen lonely over here.

Yea...and with the domestic travelling next year with us, you're WITH US!! (although I don't know if that makes it better or worse :P)

He's with Contiki tours. Website's www.contiki.com. His actual itinerary is http://www.contiki.com/en-CA/Tours/Europe/European.Discovery/Itinerary.htm Not sure how much it costs, but it might be on the website.

*hugs* I saw Jason last week and mentioned that I heard he met you...small world eh? You should get together with him! Dunno if I'm going to get a chance to come see Hello Dolly this summer at all...but we'll see ;)

Ok...so I was looking at the Contiki website (b/c dammit...I wanna travel!) And instead of Europe, you should go more exotic...to Egypt!!!
